The World Record Encampment - Saturday
http://wre500.blogspot.com/
Gary had to leave, so even with two vehicles down here and no driver he headed
out in his sailplane with his new wife, Christen. Russell pulled him (and no one
else) up behind the Scout and by afternoon he was up on the Edwards plateau
heading for the border of Kansas and Colorado.
A shot from a few days ago. Looks almost as good today.
For the first time this year since the WRE started we've got cu's in the
panhandle (forecasted also for today and the next two days at least). Much
better conditions (lift and wind speed) tomorrow and Monday. Hopefully it will
dry out a little around here today and Pete, Mike and I will get going.
It blew up throughout Texas and Gary went down 596 miles out near Amarillo.
