Pete and Mike hung in Zapata and went flying before 11 AM as I
fled to Austin. The over running was running when I got up at 8 AM, and the
cloud streets formed nicely, but not fully. The clouds were thinning out by 11.
Lots of cloud further east and northeast.

I listened to Pete and Mike on the radio as we drove to Hebbronville and Freer.
They were going well but very slowly. They flew until 3 PM landing on purpose
only sixty six miles out. Quite slow. They were headed up highway 83 and just
about to get into the more difficult area with lots of Mesquite.

They are thinking of bailing unless there is a prospect for good conditions
later this week.
