Accident Reporting
http://paraglidingforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=p267395
In Italy we improved both the number of accident reports and their
quality in the last five years, we followed these rules: Provide something useful back to the community of pilots you ask the reports to
publish detailed accident reports that are really useful to the pilots. Reports
include the following sections: Equipment, Pilot's profile, Weather, Dynamics,
Outcome, Analysis, Recommendations Publish yearly reports with as much as useful
information you can get out of the accidents database. Even if it is important
to provide feedback, it is better to avoid publishing accident reports when you
don't have enough information to provide a high quality report. The same applies
to the yearly reports: don't include statistics that are based on small numbers,
try to focus on quality and usefulness. Providing something useful to the pilot
community is the first step to involve the pilots in reporting accidents.
