They have several versions depending on what material you are patching. I have
used the "Type A" on Mylar and Dacron fabrics.
I met Jane Cetrangolo at the recent Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City and
I mentioned that I had found the Tear-Aid to be a great product for Hang Glider
Repairs.
As a side note the Tear-Aid booth had a video loop playing to show the versatile
uses of the Tear-aid repair material. Included in the video was a clip of a
circa 1976 delta kite crashing. I understand that this may be a great way to
show how Tear-Aid might be applied however it continues to perpetuate an
antiquated perspective of Hang Gliders. Sort of like showing a Model T ford and
relating it to patching a modern day tire, the imagery is totally out of sync
with today's reality.
