2011 Santa Cruz Flats Race - the accommodations
32.881678,-111.854982,Francisco Grande, Casa Grande, Arizona,
USA
This year due to a high demand for rooms we're both a week later
and most of us are staying in the tower at the
Francisco Grande, our resident hotel here at the Santa Cruz Flats Race. In
previous years most competitors had stayed in the cheap rooms in the courtyard
to the east of the tower so we didn't have an opportunity to see what these
rooms are like. Well we were fools not to check them out.
For sixty dollars a night we are living in luxury in huge suites with large
balconies over looking the golf course. We left the Oz Report World Headquarters
back in Boise, so we stayed in hotels on the way down. In Kanab, Utah we stayed
in the cheapest motel in the cheapest room at eighty dollars that was one fifth
the size of this room.
Large refrigerator, walk in closet, sofa, plush chair, breakfast nook, coffee
table, coffee maker. We're set. This ain't Dinosaur.
The competition begins today (Sunday).
