The Highland Challenge is an eight day race to goal Hang Gliding competition
comprised of four weekends and one alternate weekend.

Purpose – To provide a means for pilots to fly competitive tasks throughout the
flying season by offering an organized and structured venue.

Classes – Open / Sport / Rigid (may fold into Open w/ handicap)

Task Format – Race to goal (Non-sanctioned)

Meet Duration: Ten day commitment (may be shortened to eight days, i.e. no
alternate weekend if all registering pilots are in favor)

Scoring Days – Eight days of scoring which will span four predefined weekends.

Alternate Days – Two days. If any days are canceled due to weather then the
alternate weekend will be used. The alternate weekend will be the last weekend
of the five weekends selected. If the alternate days are not needed then they
may be used in a two day Team Challenge format with a mix of Sport and Open
class pilots.
