David Glover reports:

All the proposed hang gliding competitions (seven of them) were
approved. Only one of the two proposed paragliding competitions was approved so
far. The Santa Cruz Flats Race will be the US Nationals. The Big Spring
Competition will also include the Open Distance Nationals (how ironic). The
Texas Single Surface Shootout will also be the Single Surface Nationals, as it
was this year, and there will be multiple classes at that Luling, Texas
competition (not just single surface). This will be a great warm up for the Big
Spring competition.

The Midwest Championships will be moved to the first week of July, from the bad
weather period at the end of May (like this year). Jamie is working on the
Canadians and the Mexicans to get them to hold their Nationals as part of the
Santa Cruz Flats Race (US Nationals) in September.

Spot GPS transmitters will not be required in competition. There is going to be
some recognition of the national points leader as some kind of champion.
