Airborne makes a heart:
We were contracted to make this prototype.

A prototype that demonstrates the core technology for BiVACOR®s BV Assist and
BV Replace has been built and tested both in-vitro and in-vivo. To date, nine
short term pre-clinical studies were successfully performed in 2007 and provide
proof of concept. The latest prototype is the new miniaturised device, which
will be ready for longer term pre-clinical trials in late 2011, after thorough
in-vitro testing and design development.
The company has asked us to make them a working model out of titanium. We have
since set up a capability page
http://www.airborne.com.au/pages/capability.php to take advantage of other
potential opportunities outside of flying. You can see more detailed pictures of
the heart on the CNC section of this page.
