The 100th pilot just registered for Forbes! 100 pilots from 17
countries. 11 confirmed tugs, 10 Dragonflys and 1 Trike. Its shaping up to be
a big one! The local rules and competition booklet will be available at
http://forbesflatlands.com
by the end of this week. We will have trophies for: 1st, 2nd, 3rd in the Open Class
1st in the A Grade Class
1st in the Womens Class
1st in Sports Class
Plus the Forbes Council Encouragement Award Trophy Tuesday the 3rd January: The welcome party will be at the HQ, Forbes Bowling
Club after registration closes at 5 pm. BBQ will start at 6.30 followed by
formalities from 8.30 pm. We would like to invite all, pilots, drivers, crews, to participate in a vintage
hang gliding T-shirt competition! Wear your favourite hang gliding T-shirt, (the
older the better) with a chance to win some great prizes. The judges will be our
8, all girl, launch assistants crew! Wednesday the 4th January: Briefing will be at HQ at 10 am. The practice day
will be a full dress rehearsal, we have a lot of first time competitors to
Forbes, and we will be trialing our new ordered launch system and formation,
with the aim to be well prepared for the first competition day.
