We have news on the competition that will be held from March 21st
to March 25th 2012 in Valle de Bravo Mexico The organization for the Monarca
paragliding competitions held in Valle de Bravo since 2003 and also the super
final PWC that is running on at the moment in Valle de Bravo are going to
sponsor the Monarca Hang Gliding competition. This year the main sponsor is
Nextel.
The original Peñon Hang Gliding race classic, will be now Monarca, we will have
a nice staff, the same as the one now at the PWC.
The conditions in March at Peñon , Valle de Bravo are strong thermals, the tasks
will basically be triangles and out and return, from 70 to 150 km. We have nice
conditions. We can fly every day. Valle de Bravo has a nice infrastructure for
hotels , restaurants, a nice lake, and a lot of extra activities for non pilots.
To get to Valle You fly to Mexico City. Normally if you fly from Los Angeles to
Mexico City by Aeromexico the airplane ticket is around $300 and this airline
only charges $65 to put your hang glider in the airplane. The organization can
pick you up at the airport. We will give transportation to take off , retrieval
from your landings and can help with the accommodation.
There will be some prize money, but I need to have the final amount soon. There
will open class, sport class, and girls, and also a fly in on the week end. We
will have a nice dinner at the end with the trophy and prize ceremony. I hope
that you could come to fly here in Valle de Bravo with us.
