HPAC being sued by "former" instructor
http://ozreport.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26732 The last post on the first page and the second on the second page are most
interesting:
As a long time member of the HPAC Board of directors
I can assure
all the interested parties that we have this situation well in hand. We don't
want to try anyone or any matter in the court of public opinion. After this suit
is resolved, the HPAC BoD will make a full and complete statement outlining all
the details of this case and the proceeding events that precipitated it. We will
not be seeking any settlement agreement. We know our defence is sound. Got the information. Here is Steve Parsons claim, as submitted to the court. ADDENDUM # 1 What Happened
On Jan 27, 2011 I received a letter from the Hang Gliding and Paragliding
Association of Canada (HPAC)--see Addendum # 2. This letter came without any
prior notification, coming as a complete out-of-the-blue shock. The letter
advised me that I had been stripped of my instructor and tandem ratings. This ruling was followed by my expulsion from HPAC on January 30th, 2012--see
Addendum # 3. I claim financial damage because the withdrawal of my ratings caused a loss of
personal income. I claim that the disciplinary procedures followed by HPAC:
1. Did not meet the well-known standards of fundamental justice.
2. Did not even comply, in case of their letter dated January 27, 2011; with
HPACs posted disciplinary procedure--see Addendum # 4, Policy and Regulatory
Directive (PRD) 320-0.
