Here's a video of Sunday's record flight, 266km straight and 276km
around my turnpoints. Very disappointingly I didn't get the distance to goal
record.
I had put a 10km radius around the goal the night before due to my concern about
the strong wind on Portland point, and as it was very windy I decided early not
to fly to the point and pick somewhere safer. Stupidly the night before I had
actually drawn a 15km radius around goal, but believed it to be 10km in my
head.
Well, I ended up landing 450 meters short of the actual 10km radius. What a
bummer, even with all the days of planning I still made a silly school boy error
at the end.
