The Flying Launch Cart Tour

I took the Flying Launch Cart (featured here-
http://ozreport.com/16.063.1) on tour over the last couple of weeks and the
wheel kit was well received. We had demonstrations at Wallaby, Quest, Florida
Ridge and Lookout Mt. Flight Park. Most flights were via aerotow but I did have
some fun tows from the ET stationary tow rig at Quest where having the glider on
wheels made turnarounds very easy. My initial three gear sets were sold and are flying around now. Production gets
ramped up as soon as I return to Texas. Distribution is still being sorted out
but the retail price will be $869 for the whole kit that includes the tail boom
and wires. This product idea was intended for solo gliders but I received countless
requests for a tandem version. The tandem version is on the drawing board now
that will include standard 10 inch pneumatic tires, where the solo version has 8
inch. The caster forks will appear the same but built slightly larger and will
use a higher capacity polymer shock absorbing cylinder. The tandem version is
months away, but should be worth the wait. Thanks to all those who flew the demo's and provided feedback. It was quite satisfying for me to have Steve Pearson endorse the wheel kit. He
tells me that this has been on his "to do" list for a long time, well here it
is. Malcolm has a Wallaby Falcon 2 195 on a wheel kit too. LMFP installed a kit a
few days ago and ordered two more. LMFP has had solo flying launch carts for
years but they (Matt) really like this new lighter version. The new kits will
all have LightStream tail booms.
