The forecast looked like rain later, but the sky looked very inviting with only
rain far away to the east. We got going earlier than usual.

As of 2:30 (an hour and fifteen minutes after the first start time) the rain is
still way to the west of the course line. I've checked with a driver at goal and
all is well there. The turnpoint is only nineteen kilometers to the north at Lake
Placid airfield. Jonny is near or at the turnpoint according to the SPOT at
2:30, so he should be able to make it back to the goal.

Zac Majors wins the third day in a row. Jonny second, Paris third. Looks like
the final results for the top three will be Jonny, Paris and Zac. Seven or eight
at goal, less than two hours after the first start time. Total shaded ground and
cu-nimbs to the west and north of the course line at 3:15 PM.  Rain
threatening at the flight park.

This satellite image from 2:30 PM shows the cu-nimbs to the west of the course
line blowing up and spewing out.

This 3:09 radar image shows the rain to the north and west of the course line.
The goal is the red marked area on highway 27.

No calls from drivers regarding scary conditions on the course line.

The task came off without a hitch and the final results for both the Sport Class
and the Open Class are at the URL above. Jonny won $2,000 for first. Well worth
it. Two wins in a row for him. He missed his state meet at Dalby, which is going
on at the same time.

Lots of prizes and pilots enjoyed six days of good flying. We flew in between
and around rainy conditions the last two days, and pilots did not put themselves
in danger.
