No one was ready to launch when he did. The sky was filled with cu's early
morning. He launched just after 10:30 AM (about). Shortly after he launched, the
early morning bloom started to dry up. By the time Kyle was ready at 11ish the
clouds were dissipating to a clear sky. It was even worse a few minutes later
when Kevin launched.

If you didn't get up early you didn't get up. It was as though Kris pulled the
ladder up after him. Guy's randomly launched through the day, but it wasn't
until about 2 PM that it got good again.

It was a pretty gusty mechanical day. We all got pretty beat up down low. Kyle
went weightless in his harness three times and broke down early. Dan found a
little and hung on for some air time. Danny said he wouldn't tow again. Later
John launched and had more of a flight.

I saw him launch and after seeing he didn't drop like a rock I decided to take
my 3rd tow (I hate three tows, but I didn't want to leave empty handed) I pinned
off at 1200' found the thermal and took it high. I was starting to think of my
flight as an aerobic workout until I got a little higher. As I was playing
around I saw Kevin and Angelo wheel back out to the launch line, seeing that I
was having fun. I hooked another thermal back near the field and got high enough
to feel comfortable crossing 57 and heading back to the field in a significant
head wind.
