Is your glider at trim?

I have been watching the "how to land" thread on the Oz Report.
While I completely agree with the flare at or just below trim speed discussion -
this all assumes that your glider is trimmed properly! I would appreciate seeing
comments/discussion on how to properly trim the glider so that the flare timing
input the glider gives you is actually correct. I have flown many gliders that were trimmed either too fast or too slow to give
you the proper feedback. The very first thing I do when flying a new or borrowed
glider is a trim speed check while flying, if it's out of proper trim then I
know to flare a bit earlier or later to compensate.
