On July 17th, Jonny set a new world record “Distance to Declared
Goal” of 561 kilometers (348 miles) on his second attempt, after coming achingly
close on the first try eleven days before. He flew from Zapata to Sterling City
in Texas. The previous record of 517 kilometers (321 miles...also departing from
Zapata) was set 10 years ago by American Pete Lehman.
