July was wet in Europe. The only good flying weather was in south
Italy and Spain. Therefore we went to Ager, Spain. Nice, hot and dry. In the
Spanish Open they flew every day. All the fields were harvested and farmers

The straw was floating on the water, which made it hardly visible until it was
to late to change plans.
I just saw it when turning on final. Too late to change plans. On the video it
is visible earlier, but that's how our minds work. It doesn't see what it
doesn't expect to see. I was focusing on wind strength and direction. Daphne
landed there a couple of minutes earlier and hadn't noticed it either. She had a
better glide and just made it to the dry part.
