CIVL have published a clarification of the rules concerning the
number of pilots each country can enter for the upcoming European Paragliding
Championships. Some nations entering the comp, which starts at the end of August in St Andre,
France, expected team sizes to be 5 + 1. However, nations can in fact enter 10
pilots. In a mini slap on the wrists CIVL said nations should have read the rule book
and known the rules: Rules are supposed to be know by all. Local regulations were published on time
in March. Its a European championship. Travel expenses are not that high.
Nations had ample time to get prepared for 10 pilots team if they wanted CIVL say the unusually big team size is because the competition needs 150 pilots
to balance the books.
