Super Floater

Here is a video of us rolling our Super Floater off Crestline hang
glider launch in California. My friends and I have three super floaters, a BUG,
and a couple of Goat (air chair style) gliders. We are all dual hang glider and
sailplane pilots in the Crestline Soaring Club. I also own a Grob 103 Acro that
I fly out of Lake Elsinore.

We bought the three Super Floaters a few months ago. I formed a four way
partnership on the first one, with some fellow hang glider sailplane friends. I
am keeping one for myself and looking for local partners on the third one. Our
informal group also owns a BUG. If we continue to develop enough interest we may
organize into a formal club.
We are friends with Floyd Fronius and Mike Sandlin who designed the original BUG
and Goat gliders. Oz report readers must have seen the video of Floyd flying his
Red Goat at Torrey. If not it is a must see on you-tube. There are three local
Goat owners here.

I am very interested in promoting (non-commercially) these air chair style
gliders. We are mostly winch launching them and now slope launching them, but
plan to start bungee launching and eventually to aerotow them once we get a
suitable tug. They are a blast to fly, and a nice simple cross for those of us
that fly both hang gliders and sailplanes. They are also a nice option for aging
hang glider pilots that do not want to use their legs for landing gear anymore,
and who do not have the means to get into sailplanes.
