Outriggers

This is not a new idea but a nice example of an outrigger wheel
kit suitable for a Wills Wing Falcon 3/4. It provides added safety for those
uncomfortable times when the glider may touch the ground banked. It also
eliminates the wheels from damaging or wearing the control bar by using a wheel
axle. The outrigger wheels provide for added stability when dragging or pushing
it up a training hill.
The system allows a safe cliff launch with wheels in the stowed position and
wheels in a normal outrigger position for a safer foot landing.
A Flytec type bracket is located low on the downtubes that have a 3" stub. The
outrigger wheels are stowed on the stub for t/o and then simply removed and
repositioned into the normal landing position and held in place automatically
with a click of a button snap. A lanyard will be installed to prevent loss from
dropping. I have been flying at Makapu Point often this year and came up with
the idea.
