Arrived 100 feet too low at a ridge and got stuck for 20 minutes
while the leaders raced ahead. Caught up to their thermal after the turnpoint
then pushed straight instead of slightly deviating to their climb. Five minutes
later on the ground. One mistake and the comp's over!

Day 3 Hombre Pajaro. My field for the day.
Glided through 3 km of moderate rain to get the first turnpoint then joined Rudy
and Daniel in a thermal on the downwind/gust front side of the shower. Gust
fronts are usually mild here. There was enough lift to get high and run from the
building wall of rain but there wasn't a gap... mehr

Wills Wing has not yet committed to a date that they will make the
new version of the Covert available and in production, but it is likely to be
later in the Spring. I'm testing one (or will soon be testing one once I fully
recover from shoulder surgery) and so far (testing it here at Quest Air on the
