I finally got a chance to look at Yaesu's update of the venerable
FT-150 radio here at the Florida Ridge. James Tindle has them for sale here. I
had seen the specifications on the internet and seen the small pictures of them,
but not everything was spelled out. Key items on my wish list were missing when
I read the spec sheets on various web... mehr

The forecasts have been changing rapidly during each day. So we
haven't paid much attention to them other than for the wind speed and direction.
The RUC and NAM are way under calling the surface temperature relative to the
NWS local forecast for the Florida Ridge, so if the NWS is right we are going to
have better lift and a higher cloud... mehr

Bulgaria and we decided to fly in the NW part of the Balkan mountain. We stayed
at Vratza first and flew from Pastrina site in strong NW winds. The ramps over
