I get to fly this glider from Wills Wing in trade for a years worth of Oz Report
advertising. Took it for a spin on Saturday (the fourth day in a row of fabulous
conditions). Actually the wind was a little strong (15 mph) out of the west (not

President Obama came to Orlando on Thursday shutting down the
airspace. We are just on the very edge of the TFR region. So towing activities
were closed down in the afternoon.The day was a beautiful flying day and pilots who towing up just after the TFR
was cancelled late in the afternoon found the reason the cu's looked so sweet. mehr

Prototypes are allowed in test competitions (Cat. 2), but not in
the World Meet (Cat 1). The new prototype control rules have been adopted and
will be in effect for the World Meet in 2015.

The winds seemed to change directions through out the day. Cu's
formed early and low with complete cloud cover early that slowly broke up as the
cloud base rose. Morning started with a tandem clinic with some pilots in
training to become tandem pilots and others getting their aerotow sign offs.By afternoon the cu's looked completely friendly... mehr
