there is a question of what is the altitude of the bottom of Zone 3 (the outer
band of the airspace). Is it 6,000' (absolute) as it appears to be on the
organization's maps displayed at headquarters and given to the competitors, or
is it Flight Level 6,000' (which varies as the...

A discrepancy between what the scorer sees and what the pilot

pilots' track logs against the competition's definition of airspace. It appears
as though at least one of the edges of airspace is displayed differently on the
scorer's computer (using three different pieces of...

Airspace has been an issue here, in some cases (those for pilots
getting zeros) a big issue. The French Team and Dustin Martin submitted a
protest after their complaint to the meet director regarding their zeros for the
first day were rejected. I'm on the protest committee (or at least I think I
still am). I was called by Franco Rinaldi, the...

wouldn't be an issue. It's an issue. The airspace just in front of launch is 6,000' (normally it is 2,500'). We fly
