Jonny Durand pulled off a great finish and he sure did deserve to win the Canungra Classic after not being able to launch on the first day as he was sick from food poisoning.
Jonny came in first on the last task, starting out at the first start time, with Scott Barrett in second. Attila was in...

Sometimes if you just wait around, the circle gets completed and you can marvel at the unwitting ways things happen. Things just go round and round.
It was a while back that, with encouragement from Nick Kennedy, I, as the USHPA Competition Committee Chairman, got the USHPA to adopt a Sport Class. This allowed pilots who were not in the top...

I love flying open distance at Zapata where you can really fly open distance. You'll also remember that we (the task committee, including yours truly) called and flew the longest task every flown in a competition, 215...

(My memory is that it was best three meets over the one year period between subsequent...

This is a "complete" list of US National Hang Gliding Champions,
as best I can compile it - with one exception - it contains no women champions.

The list is complete,...

Why not go to the place that has the best and safest conditions for a hang gliding competition? Why not go to the place that was chosen for the World Championship? Why is the USHPA BOD so unaware of what is really going on? Do you really think that CIVL would have chosen Lisa Tate to organize the Worlds and have chosen to fly at King Mountain?...
