out to sea before the storm reaches the Bahamas and U.S., but it is uncertain if
this trough will be strong enough to do the trick.

This morning dawned in Zapata with nice winds and cumulus forming
up by 8 am. At 9:23 I launched in the Electro Silent to check lift and winds
aloft, switching off the electric propulsion system at about 800'. Cloudbase was
1900' agl with light but consistent lift. I was able to maintain and work...

experience, weeks or months of building or down time for repairs our Martin Wing
is for you. Other than the elevons (control surfaces) the Martin is constructed
of foam. It arrives as two wing halves that are easily glued together and the

While we had a little bit of the early morning cloud streets and
we have thin streets now (1 PM) under a layer of cirrus the surface winds were
out of the south southwest again (unlike down in Zapata), so it would have been
to dangerous to launch. Conditions did not look good for a long distance flight
in any case. Monday was the best...

As we give hang gliding lessons, we often have the need to signal
to each other (being far apart from each other) where the wind is coming from in
order to prepare the student for the flight and the scooter operator to begin
the tow. So we came up with this signal to easily show wind...

10 AM Monday morning looking south southwest. Chris Zimmerman and I decide that
it is too cross to try to launch in the rotors coming off the building with the
tower. Runway is right to left.
The overall picture is not so good either sending me to Fort Worth airspace.
Little to no lift forecasted for Zapata to Uvalde.

many nations organize their national competition in here. Its configuration,
easy access to take off, low cost living and big variety of tasks that can be
set, makes Krusevo attractive to pilots from any level. Big flat land in...
