We wake up to a cloudy day with thick mid level scud, low level
cu's and just a few patches of blue with the sun hitting the ground. It looks
very unpromising. I have a hard time believing that we will fly today.

I haven't heard any word about how it went or whether the USHPA is
seriously going to consider moving the headquarters out of Colorado Springs now
that they've hired internally (Martin Palmaz) as the Executive Director. See

I purchased and tested some of

last week. The nitrite coating was thin and the gloves didn't feel like gloves.
I purchase another brand first at Hone Depot for $1.98/pair, but they were a one
size fits all (so didn't fit as well as the ones linked to above) and the nitrite

Last Saturday we had about 17 pilots brought to the Florida Ridge
by the day's promising forecast. There was a light SE wind, and the forecast
predicted 500fpm thermals and 6000 feet cloudbase in the afternoon. mehr

It was a good weekend here at Quest Air. The winds were out of the
south on both days. On Saturday lots of thick low clouds with a drop or two of
rain so I waited until things cleared up a bit around 2 PM and took off with a
