The CIVL Plenary did away with the minimum number of pilots
required for a Category 2 Class 2 and Sport Class competition
Previously these meets wouldn't count for WPRS points if they had
less than a certain number of pilots. Now, there is no minimum, but of course
the meets are devalued if they have few pilots. mehr

A few shots from Quest Air before flying south,
here.As far as I was concerned conditions had much improved on Saturday from the day
before, but others were of the opposite persuasion. It was still out of the west
but a lot lighter on the ground at, least. There were a couple of cu's a little
after noon when I launched early and just boomed... mehr

Six or eight of us went down to the southeast corner at Quest Air
and towed to the northwest. It was light on the ground, but in the air it was
bumpy and 14 mph out of the west. The lift was there but the thermals were not
sweet. Our plan was to fly down to Wallaby for the Wills Wing Days, but the
winds were just not right and with poor lift... mehr

Lots of tandems, new pilots, and plenty of morning flights here on
a Friday. I thought that all these folks were supposed to be down at the Wills
Wing Days. The winds have died down a lot and conditions should be good for a
couple of days. Looks like they'll be good for Wills Wing. mehr

According to me CIVL Plenary sources, in order to allow all six
members of a national team to be counted when doing the team scoring (the top
three scores are used each day) at the 2011 Worlds, two additional teams had to
be asked if they had a sixth member that could come... mehr

Northwest winds 17 mph gusting to 25 mph. You shouldn't be hearing
much from Wallaby Ranch, unlike two days ago where we all had a good fly. Winds
should lighten up enough for good flying Friday and Saturday. For the most part
the winds have been light this Spring at Quest Air, and we've had plenty of
